I’m going to spend some time reading Blogwalker’s latest post on closing the achievement gap.

1. I really like using the Scholastic News website with our magazine. It furnishes extra related information, quizzes to test your recall, and other approved sites.
2. For our district Scott Foresman math program here’s help, a copy of that lost homework page and much more.
3. When researching information on the oceans inhabitants, the Monterey Bay Aquarium site [...]

Imagine students willingly reading and writing and not understanding this is the same as the traditional journally, just because a keyboard is involved.  A tool to encourage out of the box thinking and actual homework being done. The challenge will be access to machines, three just  isn’t going to do it.
